MLS outfit Toronto FC are into their maiden CONCACAF Champions League final after seeing off Club America in the semi-final, with the Canada-based team set to face Mexican side Chivas, who defeated New York Red Bulls in the final four.

The confederation's appeals committee reviewed the appeal submitted by the club on Monday and determined, as per the CONCACAF Champions League regulations and the FIFA disciplinary code which govern the competition, that the committee does not have the jurisdiction to review the case.

Toronto defender Eriq Zavaleta seemingly scored an own goal in the 20th minute to tie the score, but the assistant referee raised his flag for offside, nullifying it. New York remained on the front foot throughout, but couldn't find an opener despite outshooting Chivas 12-0 with Matias Almeyda's team fortunate to make it back to the dressing room at half-time still clinging to the aggregate lead.

Vanney put out the same starting lineup from last week's 3-1 win in the first leg, but substitutes Victor Vazquez, Chris Mavinga and Justin Morrow were unavailable. An away goal in either match further complicates things for the home side. Bono stepped up again in the 63rd minute, jumping to get a glove on the ball and tip a well-placed strike from Alejandro Díaz over the crossbar.

Bono charged forward to put his body on a cross in the 77th minute, getting to the ball before a hard-charging Club America forward. They went closest after 18 minutes, when Daniel Royer's teasing low ball from the right across the six yard box eluded his teammates coming in at the far post.

Osorio, 26, has been with TFC since 2013, and this was his 176th appearance for the club. His shot was blocked by Toronto FC's wall, defusing the threat.

Andres Uribe tied it for Club America in the second minute of injury time on a penalty kick.
