Former President Bill Clinton says that he and wife Hillary are saddened by the death of physicist Stephen Hawking, who died at age 76.

"Like so many, I was inspired by his first book to learn more about science, physics and the edges of our universe", Trudeau said.

Hawking was a member of the Pontifical Academy of Sciences since 1986. It was just different.

But Prof Hawking's life was exceptional.

Stephen Hawking was, without doubt, one of the greatest physicists the world has ever known, and his writings will shape the way the universe is viewed for many generations. "Had I attended, I would have stated my opinion that the policy of the present Israeli government is likely to lead to disaster", the letter read.

Yonette Joseph is the London weekend editor.

In the book he related how he was first diagnosed: "I felt it was very unfair - why should this happen to me", he wrote.

The disease that crippled Stephen Hawking is quite rare. It affects the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord that make the muscles of both the upper and lower body work. Hawking later tried to figure out how black holes preserve information, making notable progress in a 2016 study in Physical Review Letters. Wormholes are basically tunnels through space that can shorten the distance between time.

"The public's view of disability has changed".

A 2014 film, The Theory of Everything, with Eddie Redmayne playing Hawking, charted the onset of his illness and his early life as a brilliant student.

He was known for his humor and gained popularity since appearing on television shows including the popular Big Bang Theory. I send my heartfelt love and condolences to all his family and colleagues.

"Knowledge is a richness that is acquired through a combination of rigour, logic, hard work and an inquisitive mind", Payette said. So, I immediately said, I'll take that bet. "No one created the universe and no one directs our fate".

Ali Abunimah, a Palestinian-American journalist, wrote, "When we look back in a few years, Hawking's decision to respect BDS may be seen as a turning point - the moment when boycotting Israel as a stance for justice went mainstream". It was an honor to have him on The #BigBangTheory.

"He has a very enviable wish to keep going and the ability to summon all his reserves, all his energy, all his mental focus and press them all into that goal of keeping going", she said.

"I think it would be a disaster".

'It was truly such an honor getting to work with the incredible Stephen Hawking. "That didn't turn out so well". "Be curious. And however difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do and succeed at". I have been lucky, that my condition has progressed more slowly than is often the case. His book, A Brief History of Time, appeared on the British Sunday Times best-seller list for a record-breaking 237 weeks.

Hawking took on the title of distinguished research chair at the prestigious Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics in Waterloo, Ont., and visited the facility in the summer of 2010 and again in 2012.

His genius and wit won over fans from far beyond the rarified world of astrophysics, earning comparisons with Albert Einstein and Sir Isaac Newton.
