It's a rhythm based game that brings the DS version's touchscreen controls onto the Switch. "This isn't a lighthearted romp in a bright and colorful fantasy world; it's a methodical journey into the frightening unknown". Be sure to watch the announcement trailer to see him in action. Wave 2 follows on March 23rd. A new Mario Tennis game, updates to Odyssey, some classics and indies, and perhaps most unexpectedly, Dark Souls: Remastered. The upcoming sports game will also add some strategy by allowing gamers to figure out what kind of shot will have the best chance of earning a point.

Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition was also revealed. The last Dark Souls was Dark Souls 3, which was released in 2016. New content is coming to Super Mario Odyssey too!

As stated above, the game also includes an added local multiplayer mode to CRIME.NET called CRIME.NET Local Play. It's a race for others to find your balloon and you to find theirs as fast as you can. Are you psyched for The World Ends With You -Final Remix-?

The Switch 5.0 Leak is OFFICIALLY fake!

The nearly $450 collection is extensive. No exact release date has been given yet, but the game will arrive this spring. Today's much anticipated Nintendo Direct Mini offered up a slew of games, many of those games being ports. It's currently awaiting a rating from the ESRB, though all previous Souls games have been rated M for Mature for Blood and Violence. Joy comes complete with her own LED light mask and weapons.

EA's Fe was also on display as was previously rumored.

More Donkey Kong news landed a bit later in the Nintendo Direct Mini.

Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze, originally released for Wii U, will include a "beginner-friendy" mode to balance out its infamously difficult gameplay.

The new Kirby game for Switch now has a title and a release date.

All of which seems fairly positive, but there's no pretending any of it constitutes a major release for the system. "The game launches digitally for Nintendo Switch on Jan. 25". Both are available for purchase on the e-Shop now.

BONUS: "Dark Souls" is getting a visual overhaul in "improved framerate and resolution", according to Nintendo. The groovy surfer known as Funky Kong can double jump, hover, perform infinite rolls and even perform infinite underwater corkscrews.
