The White House said on Wednesday Mr Trump is open to the US holding talks with North Korea "under the right circumstances" after his ally, South Korean President Moon Jae-in signalled a willingness to sit down with Kim.

Trump has called Kim "Rocket Man" on a "suicide mission".

I want to be guardedly optimistic that the North's participation in the Olympics will defuse tension on the Korean Peninsula and eventually lead to close North-South relations and an eventual discussion of North Korea's nuclear programs.

When asked whether he had talked to Kim, Trump replied, "I don't want to comment on it. I'm not saying I have or haven't. I hope we do", the president added.

Taeyang is one of several Korean singers to be featured as an honorary ambassador for Pyeongchang 2018, along with opera singer Jo Sumi, Insooni, Jinusean's Sean, Girl's Day, AOA, and CNBlue's Jung Yonghwa. "I like it very much".

A National Security Council spokesman, who was not authorized to be quoted by name and requested anonymity, said Trump assured Moon that press reports suggesting the U.S. was considering imminent, unilateral military actions against North Korea were false. The session was requested by Sweden and Poland. "It was so reported today that ... without our attitude, that would have never happened", Trump told reporters.

The timing is probably just coincidental, but next week the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will hold a public forum to educate us about how to respond to "a nuclear detonation".

"There are two launches currently scheduled for February that have been scheduled for three to five years" to test the reliability and accuracy of the Minuteman III missiles, according to Capt. Anastasia Schmidt, a spokeswoman for the Air Force Global Strike Command, which manages ICBMs and long-range bombers. Warsaw is also working to win allies in the spat.

"Part of my message in going is to stand with the American athletes and show we're cheering them on and wishing them well".

Kim has called Trump a "mentally deranged U.S. dotard" and has threatened to tame him with fire.

The two officials also discussed ways to use the momentum to find a peaceful resolution to the nuclear issue. "I think a certain level of success must be guaranteed", Moon said. Cruz ultimately decided to endorse Trump, and now he attacks other Republicans for their disloyalty to the president.
