Trump's attorney, Charles Harder, sought last week to stop publication of the behind-the-scenes book, whose revelations prompted Trump to denounce Steve Bannon, his former chief strategist.

Conway and Hicks did not immediately respond to requests to comment on Wolff's remark.

"The truth is, many of the people find themselves in this situation begin to see themselves as the people who can impose some kind of logic and order on this White House", Wolff responded. The company announced it is ending its relationship with Bannon, stating its programing agreement is with Breitbart. One said Bannon was telling people as recently as Monday that he expected to stay on.

He also compared Mr. Trump to that of former President Theodore Roosevelt. He then was one of Trump's top White House advisors before he was pushed out in August. I am writing you today to explain why this is a matter of great importance.

"He should have known they are duplicitous, cunning and not our friends", Bannon said.

But a demand to cease and desist publication- a clear effort by the President of the United States to intimidate a publisher into halting publication of an important book on the workings of the government - is an attempt to achieve what is called prior restraint.

During the day, he usually attends a couple of meetings and even in that short time span, he does not forget to make long phone calls and watch cable news in the Oval's adjoining dining room - where he spends an hour for lunch. He issued a statement Sunday praising the president's eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., whom he was quoted accusing of treasonous behavior in the book.

That reportedly was the final straw for financial patron and Breitbart investor, Rebekah Mercer, already concerned about his unrelenting support for Moore. "The book is best understood as a work of very poorly written fiction".

Trump defended his sanity in a series of tweets on Saturday morning, concluding them by saying he is a "very stable genius".

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to get married on May 19.

He also said: "I regret that my delay in responding to the inaccurate reporting regarding Don Jr. has diverted attention from the president's historical accomplishments in the first year of his presidency". It's just that now he has no vehicle, no staff, no platform, and no major donors funding his ambitions.
