For connectivity, the device comes with 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C port. The device is 8.3mm thick and weighs 191 grams. The chipset will come with onboard AI, and support 3D facial recognition for biometric authentication to take on Apple iPhone X's Face ID feature.

Samsung has integrated an interesting camera setup on Galaxy A8+.

Our first impressions suggest that the rear camera of the A8+ and the OnePlus 5T are quite evenly matched. Over the last few months, the Korean company has been granted a wide variety of patents related to the foldable phone technology.

Coming to the camera segment, Galaxy A8+ (2018) sports a 16MP shooter at the back with LED flash, f/1.7 aperture. They might not have to wait much longer this year. Apparently, the display panels are going to ready by September ahead of mass production for the device starting in November.

There's good amount of firepower under the hood. It features 6GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage, expandable via microSD card by up to 256GB. The only explicitly mobile news from Samsung at CES was the announcement of the Exynos 9810 ARM system-on-a-chip (SoC), which will probably debut in the international version of the Galaxy S9 (the US version will have an updated Snapdragon chip).

On the rear side is a 16-megapixel camera with f/1.7 aperture and LED flash. However, the showing was organized in secret, and no media outlets have been provided with images or information about the Galaxy S9 yet. It will likely go on sale in March.

Samsung, despite developing mid-range segment devices, has incorporated some flagship specs into both the Galaxy A8 2018 devices.
