There is no official evidence to validate the report, but we just can't ignore it right away, as Samsung in the past has launched limited-edition flagship Galaxy S series phones with huge storage and fancy colour options, particularly around the time of the release of comic-based movies.

Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy S9 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC), but the rumor mill is already looking forward to the Galaxy Note 9. In the photography department, sadly, the Galaxy S9 is expected to come with a single rear camera, whereas the 'plus' variant is expected to come with dual-camera setup with Live Focus for DSLR-like bokeh effects for your photos. Some may prove to be accurate in the end, while others will be totally off. Since everyone claims they have received the information from trustworthy sources, it's hard to tell which to take with a grain of salt. The Galaxy S9 would still have the fingerprint sensor placed on the back panel, below the camera.

As said before, Samsung Galaxy S9 series will be coming in two variants - one a generic 5.8-inch Galaxy S9 (codename: Star 1; model number: SM-G960) and the 6.2-inch S9 Plus (codename: Star 2; model number: SM-G965). Samsung claims that the single-core performance is twice as fast as the Exynos 8895 SoC that powered the Galaxy S8 duo and the Galaxy Note 8. They're said to be 6GB RAM with 64GB, 128GB and 256GB of storage. The analyst has learned from supply chain sources that Egis, BeyondEyes, and Samsung LSI were in the race to supply optical fingerprint sensors for the Note 9. Last year he told reporters in South Korea that the company was targeting a launch this year. The company said at the time that it had partnered with a "top five" OEM to bring the technology to market this year.
