Jose Mourinho aimed a thinly-veiled dig at rivals Pep Guardiola and Arséne Wenger while offering an update on injuries after Manchester United's 2-1 Champions League win over CSKA Moscow.

Shakhtar Donetsk coach Paulo Fonseca is preparing for one of his toughest challenges as Manchester City visit in the Champions League.

He said: "It's something, something uncomfortable he felt in the last minutes, before the goal he felt something".

Right-back Danilo was at fault again six minutes later when Shakhtar extended its lead, a ball over the top from Marlos sending Ismaily clear and, when Ederson raced out of his box without getting the ball, his finish into the gaping goal was straightforward.

That was in no small part due to the presence and contribution of youngster Edimilson Fernandes, whose energy allowed West Ham to counter effectively and compete in the engine room against one of the best sides in Europe.

Toure, 34, is likely to feature as Guardiola makes some changes for the final Group F game in Kharkiv. I don't know whether he will recover for Sunday. "I can promise you we are going to try to win this game".

Manchester City have been fabulous, breaking records in the league and their fitness has been incredible with how they keep the ball and pick teams off.

Speaking at a pre-match media conference, Guardiola said: "Kevin De Bruyne is suspended and David Silva has a little problem".

Having just seen his side secure their passage into the last 16 of the Champions League as Group A winners, the manager also provided an update on several other members of his first-team squad.

Guardiola has favoured a lone striker this season, with either Sergio Aguero or Gabriel Jesus deployed at the head of their fluid, interchangeable attacking system.

The Spaniard said: "We travelled here to win the game, to make a good performance and show respect for the clubs and this competition". They have a big issue but in the end everybody is ready to play.

"You get results in different ways and it looked as though we might have got one today".

Unsurprisingly, ever since then, he's found first-team football hard to come by and has even been left out of matchday squads by Mauricio Pochettino.
