The group wanted to impact women so they would get tested for breast cancer when it might be in the earliest stages.

Housekeepers, domestic staff and receptionists all got into the spirit of things as they raised hundreds of pounds to help fund life-saving research into the disease.

In commemoration of the International Breast Cancer Awareness month, Dana Air and Project Pink Blue, a 'cancer -fighting' organisation have hosted the Pink October Walk, Race and Cycle against cancer at LTV/Radio Lagos Arena, Ikeja, Lagos.

Dr. Jayne Charlamb from Upstate University Hospital recommends women consider starting getting mammograms at age 40, and that they should talk to their doctor about any concerns or decisions they were planning to make. Think Pink was conceived by founding members Melody Christenson, Michael Figueroa, MD, and Carol Lake.

The five kilometres cancer walk, which kicked off at LTV Arena, was led by breast cancer survivors, celebrities, officials of the Lagos state government and U.S. Embassy in Nigeria. Here are some photos, if you missed it. "We have a strong believe that we can defeat cancer but we require the right support and Dana Air has led the way by constantly supporting this fight and we urge others to join this fight as this way, we can win the flight".
