Giants cornerback Dominique Rodgers Cromartie is suspended

The New York Giants are an absolute mess, and the news about cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie leaving the team/being suspended is the latest bit of gasoline on top of the dumpster fire.
The Giants told Rodgers-Cromartie that he would be inactive for the Week 6 game after he skipped out on the team's recovery day the Friday leading up to the team's Week 5 game.
"DRC came in (Tuesday), we had a conversation that was personal upstairs and he came in (Wednesday) and chose to leave", McAdoo said during a Wednesday press conference. It is not known if the two exchanged words during the game.
The 31-year-old Rodgers-Cromartie is in the midst of his fourth season with the G-Men, and he has registered 26 tackles, 0.5 sacks and no interceptions for 0-5 NY.
Rodgers-Cromartie isn't the only issue going on at cornerback for the drama-filled Giants. He also had a half sack.
The timing could not be worse for the Giants. The 2016 second-team All-Pro corner returned to the sidelines during the game but his decision to leave the team's facility on Wednesday was reportedly the last straw. He started at an outside cornerback spot, as Eli Apple was benched for the first three defensive series. He also doesn't feel the team is falling apart.
For the ability he has, and the production we've seen from him on the field, his five-year, $35 million contract seems like a bargain. "We don't need anyone else separating from the team".
NOTES: Besides Rodger Cromartie, six players did not practice on Wednesday: LB Jonathan Casillas (neck), S Landon Collins (ankle), RB Paul Perkins (ribs), C Weston Richburg (concussion), WR Sterling Shepard (ankle) and DE Olivier Vernon (ankle).
